Nifty has excellent grazing characteristics throughout the season, but is especially high yielding in the late summer and autumn period when many other varieties are losing momentum. The total annual yield under simulated grazing management is very good.
Rust resistance
Nifty is very resistant to Crown Rust - a very important feature in grazing fields when rust attack reduces palatability and animal intake considerably.
